Three things, grown right.

Everything here comes from the same greenhouse — seed saved by hand, cuttings rooted in trays, divisions pulled from established plants. No warehouse, no middleman, no mystery.

Inside the tunnel

This is where it all comes from.

No distribution center, no rented nursery. Every seed and cutting Texas Roots sells starts in this backyard hoop greenhouse in El Campo — herbs, peppers, tomatoes, and houseplants in a few dozen grow bags.

Small batch means you get plants that were alive and growing the same week they shipped.

From greenhouse to mailbox

How a Texas Roots order works.

The whole thing runs out of one house. That's the point — low overhead means honest prices and plants that were alive an hour before they were boxed.

01

You pick

Choose seeds, cuttings, or a starter box and send your order through the form.

02

We propagate

Seeds get counted and carded; cuttings get taken, rooted, and checked before shipping.

03

We pack

Damp-wrapped and bubble-mailed by hand, with a printed grow guide in every package.

04

You grow

It lands in your mailbox in a few days. Scan the guide, pot it up, and you're off.

The real operation

No stock photos. Just the garden.

Jordan Polasek, founder of Texas Roots, watering the greenhouse in El Campo, Texas, with Autumn the goldendoodle

Who's behind it

Started by Jordan Polasek, one garden at a time.

Texas Roots was founded by Jordan Polasek, an El Campo technologist who got tired of mail-order plants showing up half-dead in a box. So he started sending his own — from his own greenhouse, propagated by hand, with his goldendoodle Autumn supervising.

Jordan also runs and built this entire storefront himself. The same person who tends the beds writes the code and packs the boxes. Order from Texas Roots and you're ordering straight from Jordan Polasek's garden bench in El Campo.

Beyond the garden

When the internet goes down, your library shouldn't

A seed bank and a knowledge bank are the same idea. I keep a copy of Wikipedia, survival and medical guides, maps, and a private AI on a server at home — knowledge that keeps working with no internet. Here's how, and how you can too, free.
